2014 Christmas Gala Silent and Online Auction

 

Auction Rules

 

By participating in the SMUS Parents’ Auxiliary Christmas Gala Silent and Online Auction, each bidder agrees to the following auction rules:

 

  1. All bids are firm. All bids submitted are considered firm. As is standard on all auctions, no bid can be reduced, cancelled or withdrawn once put forward. If the submitted bid ends up being the high bid for that item, the bidder is bound to paid the high bid amount in exchange for the item.
  1. All items final. All items or services offered are final. There are no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted.
  1. All items are “as is”. The Parents’ Auxiliary has attempted to describe items correctly based on the information provided by donors. Bidders are expected to read and understand all information for any restrictions, conditions, exclusions, etc. Apart from any original manufacturer’s warranty, the Parent’s Auxiliary does not offer any kind of warranty for the auctioned items.
  2. No appraisal. The value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised.
  3. Immediate payment. Payment for items purchased is requested in full on the night of the auction. Ideally, you may charge your students account or we accept cash, MasterCard, Visa or check made payable to SMUS Parents’ Auxiliary Society. If you are unable to make payment on the night of the auction, you will be contacted December 7th so arrangements for payment can be made. Please allow 30 minutes after the auction has closed before reporting to the cashier.
  4. No shipping. Following payments, you may pick up your purchase in the check out area with your paid receipt. At the end of the evening, any items left unclaimed will be transported to a Parents’ Auxiliary designated location and we will contact the high bidder for payment and pickup. No shipping is provided. Pickup is the sole responsibility of the high bidder. Information regarding services or vacation donations will be emailed to the high bidder.
  5. Adults only. All bidders must be 18 years of age or must have consent from their parent to bid.
  6. No liability. Each person bidding assumes all responsibility related to the auction and items obtained at the auction and agrees to hold SMUS and the Parents’ Auxiliary harmless from any liability.
  7. PA is final. In the event of a dispute, the Parents’ Auxiliary will act as final authority.
